DOTSOFT S.A. Undertakes the Digital Transformation of the Municipality of Neapoli–Sykies.

DOTSOFT S.A. is undertaking the implementation of a modern and comprehensive digital transformation project for the Municipality of Neapoli–Sykies, aimed at enabling the transition to a sustainable, efficient, and fully interconnected urban environment. The project integrates advanced Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, intelligent information systems, and innovative management applications, enhancing both the Municipality’s operational efficiency and the daily lives of its citizens.

The implementation is based on a holistic smart city architecture, where data from different subsystems are collected, analysed and utilised centrally, enabling real-time, informed decision-making.

The project includes:

  1. Smart Public Transport Stops

The scope of the action concerns the installation of:

  • 43 smart illuminated signs for public transport stops
  • Central system management and control application

This intervention upgrades urban transport stops with smart information infrastructures, enabling real-time data to be provided to citizens and significantly improving the travel experience and sustainable mobility.

  1. Smart Accessibility System for people with disabilities

The project incorporates:

  • Accessibility Management Platform
  • Indoor guidance system
  • Mobile application for users
  • 40 sensors for detecting illegal parking
  • 40 sound beacons for people with reduced mobility

This initiative aims to create an accessible urban environment for all, using technologies that facilitate the independent mobility and daily life of people with disabilities.

  1. Intelligent Air Quality Measurement System

Includes:

  • Central monitoring platform
  • 6 modern air quality sensors

Through the installation of a continuous monitoring system, reliable environmental data is provided to support policy design to improve public health and sustainability.

  1. Digitisation of Local Cultural Heritage

The action includes:

  • Platform for digital & virtual promotion of cultural sites
  • Mobile application for visitors
  • Digitisation services of cultural material

It aims to promote the cultural identity of the Municipality through modern digital media, enhancing the visitor experience and promoting local history and cultural heritage.

  1. Intelligent Street Lighting Management

Includes:

  • Central street lighting management platform
  • 353 luminaire controllers

The implementation of an integrated remote management system for municipal lighting allows remote control, optimization of energy consumption and immediate response to technical problems.

  1. Intelligent Electric Lighting Systems for Municipal Buildings

Includes:

  • Lighting management platform
  • 16 brightness and motion sensors

This solution focuses on optimising the operation of lighting in municipal buildings through automation that adapts to actual usage conditions, helping to reduce energy consumption and operating costs.

  1. Urban Green Space Management System & Public Spaces

Includes:

  • Green management platform
  • Mobile application
  • Geospatial mapping services

This solution allows the digital mapping and management of green spaces and public infrastructure of the Municipality, facilitating more efficient maintenance, better planning of interventions and decision-making based on geospatial data.

With the implementation of the above actions, the Municipality of Neapolis – Sikeon takes a substantial step towards its digital transformation, utilizing technologies that improve the daily life of citizens and enhance the efficiency of municipal services.

DOTSOFT, through its experience and expertise in smart city projects, actively contributes to the creation of a modern urban ecosystem where innovation, sustainability and quality of life coexist in harmony.

The project is part of the “Digital Transformation 2021-2027” programme and is funded by the Ministry of Digital Governance.
