The contract 2023/AO/17 - OF1 concerned the provision of consultancy services and the development of online courses in the field of Human Rights and Business. Specifically, it involved the update and enhancement of the HELP Course on Business & Human Rights, which was part of the Council of Europe’s Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) Programme. The aim of the contract was to align the course content with recent developments in international standards, case law, and best practices related to corporate responsibility and human rights protection.
The services included expert consultancy on educational content, instructional design, and e-learning development. The contractor worked closely with the Council of Europe to ensure that the updated course reflected current legal frameworks, such as the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and integrated interactive, user-friendly learning tools suitable for online delivery.
Additionally, the project supported broader educational initiatives aimed at raising awareness and building capacity among legal professionals, businesses, and other stakeholders in understanding the intersection of human rights obligations and corporate activities. The deliverables included revised course materials, interactive exercises, and multimedia enhancements, all designed to improve learning outcomes and accessibility for users across Europe.
