Misinformation is a significant threat to modern democracies. Therefore, new solutions are needed to effectively prove its content as false. The EU-funded AI4Debunk project aims to create four human-centered interfaces with integrated artificial intelligence. These interfaces include a website plugin, a collaborative platform, a smartphone application, and an augmented reality (AR) interface, all of which will be built using a misinformation API.
The project will focus on misinformation regarding the war in Ukraine and climate change, mapping misinformation content into knowledge graphs and comparing it with existing databases. The platform, named Disinfopedia, is designed to instantly detect fake content. The application verifies content in daily life, while the AR interface provides insight into fake news and social media.
