The Municipality of Drama enhances sanitation services through a comprehensive telematics system for fleet and waste management
The Municipality of Drama is proceeding with the upgrade of the FleetoMonitoring vehicle telematics management system, extending it with a comprehensive waste management solution. The project leverages the FleetoWaste platform, which combines telematics technologies, data analysis, and optimal routing, aiming to improve the efficiency of the cleaning service and provide better services to citizens.
The project includes:
- Telematics equipment units (GPS) for real‑time monitoring of municipal vehicles.
- Fleet telematics management platform (FleetoMonitoring) with features such as vehicle tracking and route history, fuel management, service scheduling, geofencing, and automated alerts.
- Data analysis platform (FleetoAnalysis) that collects, organizes, and visualizes waste collection data, helping improve costing and cleaning service planning.
- Bin position and tipping control units, for automatic recording and mapping of collections, providing reliable information about the number, location, and capacity of bins.
- Cleanliness incident reporting module, with special buttons that allow workers to immediately report issues such as broken or overflowing bins, bulky items, or illegal parking.
- Driver navigation and routing module, via in‑cab tablets, for dynamic route display, saving time and fuel, and improving citizen service.
