The citiDOT platform and its digital assistant askDOTI offer an integrated solution for coordinating multimodal IoT data aimed at modernizing municipal operations.
By addressing issues of fragmented communication and manual task management, the project aims to reduce response times and significantly improve accessibility for all citizens, including elderly people and persons with disabilities.
The system architecture leverages a complex technological stack that includes natural language processing (NLP) and large language models (LLMs) for natural and multilingual interaction, as well as Edge Computing, NFV, and Cloud technologies for secure and efficient data processing.
The combination of these technologies provides both municipal employees and citizens with a user-friendly real-time interface that simplifies services and enhances digital transformation.
The synergy between artificial intelligence and IoT contributes to improving urban quality of life and represents a significant advancement in digital governance technologies, alongside the protection of intellectual property through European and international patent applications (PCT).
citiDOT operates as a secure and inclusive framework for the next generation of smart city infrastructure.
Type and scope of work provided
- IoT data orchestration: development of the citiDOT platform for collecting and analyzing data from smart city sensors (traffic, waste, air quality, weather).
- AI support: implementation of the askDOTI digital assistant using NLP and LLMs (with RAG technology) for natural real-time communication
- Automation of internal processes: optimization of municipal operations and task management, aiming to reduce time and cost by up to 40%
- Enhancing citizen participation: Providing an interactive chat/voice environment for service requests, transactions and updates
- Inclusion and accessibility: support for multiple languages and voice recognition for elderly people, persons with disabilities, and non-native speakers
- Advanced technical infrastructure: integration of Edge/Cloud Computing and NFV for secure and scalable data processing
- Interoperability: use of REST APIs for data exchange between municipalities and third-party public administration systems
