Website Maintenance Services for the European Space Agency (ESA)

A series of consecutive framework contracts have been signed for the development, maintenance, and support of the website ecosystem of the Telecommunications and Integrated Applications Directorate (TIA) of the European Space Agency (ESA).

1. ESA – TIA Web Sites Maintenance (Contract No. 4000132601)

Framework Description

The framework provides long-term services for the design, support, and maintenance of the website ecosystem of ESA’s Telecommunications and Integrated Applications Directorate (TIA). It covers UX research and redesign, content operations, application development, corrective and evolutionary maintenance, managed hosting, security enhancements, performance monitoring, and governance. The scope extends to core web properties as well as related portals and integrated web applications (such as reporting and programme tools), ensuring availability, compliance, and a consistent user experience.

 

Project Objective

The project aims to keep the TIA ecosystem secure, efficient, and active in terms of content management, providing accurate and up-to-date programme information. It seeks to strengthen stakeholder engagement and improve the visibility of project activities through a consistent, attractive user interface and reliable functionality.

 

Scope of Work

The scope of work includes corrective, preventive, perfective, and adaptive maintenance at both software and infrastructure levels; managed hosting services; security enhancements; content curation and news support; and UI updates for an engaging digital presence. It also includes CMS migration and the consolidation of digital applications to streamline operations and improve maintainability.

2. ESA TIA Websites Maintenance (Contract no. 4000109038)

Framework Description

The project provides support, maintenance, and UX enhancement services for ESA’s ARTES and Business Applications websites. It combines analysis, conceptual design, development, testing, and UX testing with day-to-day operational support to ensure that the Directorate’s websites remain online, secure, and continuously updated with news and programme information. The collaboration contributes to an improved user experience.

 

Project Objective

The project aims to ensure availability and security, simplify content publishing processes, and improve usability through iterative UX enhancements. It seeks to maintain a stable and modern digital presence that effectively communicates TIA activities while supporting community engagement and project outreach.

 

Scope of Work

The scope of work includes UX analysis and design, front-end and back-end development, functional and UX testing, corrective and adaptive maintenance, content updates, and operational monitoring. It also covers incident management, performance optimization, and release management to ensure that the ARTES and Business Applications websites remain reliable and up to date.
