Provision of instructional design services and development of interactive online learning courses for the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Academy platform

The framework agreement establishes a long-term partnership for the provision of instructional design services and the development of interactive online learning courses for the ITU Academy platform. The initiative supports the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in delivering high-quality, engaging, and multilingual e-learning solutions that enhance accessibility and learning outcomes for a global audience. The framework covers course design, content transformation, multimedia production, gamification, localization, and translation services, ensuring compliance with modern e-learning standards and ITU guidelines.
Within the scope of this Framework Contract, our team has undertaken the implementation of several SC/PO issued under this agreement.

1. AGCCI E-Learning Course Enhancement

This project focused on improving the asynchronous course Technical and Soft Skills with the African Girls Can Code Initiative (AGCCI) to increase learner engagement, interactivity, and educational effectiveness. The course was designed to extend learning opportunities beyond physical coding camps, enabling a larger number of girls and young women to access the training online. The initiative included the redesign of learning objectives, instructional enhancements, and the integration of multimedia elements to create a more engaging and impactful learning experience.

 

Project Objective

  • Redefine learning objectives using the SMART methodology and align learning outcomes accordingly.
  • Increase learner engagement through gamification techniques, case studies, and real-world examples.
  • Enrich the course with multimedia elements such as animations, videos, and audio content.
  • Improve assessment mechanisms and introduce enhanced knowledge-check activities.
  • Translate the course into additional languages, including French and Portuguese.

Scope of Work

The scope included instructional design and technical development services, transformation of existing content such as manuals, presentations, and ITU publications, integration of gamification features, creation of supporting learning materials, and multilingual localization. The final deliverable consisted of an enhanced asynchronous e-learning course offering greater interactivity, accessibility, and learner engagement.

2. Development of an animated and digitized e-learning course on digital finance for small businesses

The project involved the transformation of existing training materials for the course Introduction to Digital Finance for Small Businesses into animated and digitized SCORM-compliant learning modules. The initiative aimed to create engaging, interactive, and multilingual e-learning content that helps small business owners and entrepreneurs better understand digital finance concepts and technologies.

 

Project Objective

  • Adapt and gamify existing training content to improve learner engagement and participation.
  • Develop animated and digitized learning modules in English, Spanish, and French.
  • Translate presentations and training materials from English into French.
  • Integrate multimedia assets and assessment activities to enhance learning outcomes.

Scope of Work

The scope included instructional design services, content transformation, SCORM-compliant course development, creation of custom graphics and animations, multimedia production, and multilingual translation services. The project delivered three fully animated and digitized e-learning courses together with localized educational materials, providing learners with an engaging and accessible digital learning experience.
