Upgrading Education with Interactive Whiteboards

This initiative includes the supply, installation and support of state-of-the-art interactive touch displays, together with management and educational software, opening new possibilities for dynamic and participatory learning experiences.

Specifically, the project provides for the supply and installation of 65 educational systems, integrating Advanced InfraRed interactive touch displays, computers and dedicated software.

The installed systems deliver a fully interactive learning experience, supporting finger or stylus writing, multi-touch functionality and compatibility with Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems. They also feature digital ink technology, video recording capabilities and handwriting recognition in both Greek and English.

The accompanying software, fully compatible with the interactive displays, enables handwritten annotations within Microsoft Office applications, management of educational material in multiple formats (PDF, HTML, images), and access to digital collections and 3D educational objects, supporting the creation of engaging and flexible presentations.

Digital Transformation of Municipal Administration

This initiative focuses on the implementation of an Integrated Business Intelligence (BI) System to strengthen the Municipality’s administrative capacity, transparency and evidence-based decision-making.

The new system will interconnect all financial and administrative subsystems of the Municipality of Metamorfosi, enabling the automatic collection and transformation of raw data into meaningful information.

Through dynamic reporting and analytics tools, municipal administrative and financial departments will be able to generate automated reports for the Municipal Council and central government, monitor key performance indicators and support decision-making based on accurate and up-to-date information.

With this solution, information is transformed into knowledge, and knowledge into informed decisions—quickly, reliably and effectively.

The Business Intelligence System will become a key accountability tool for the Municipality and public supervisory authorities. It will also provide significant benefits in human resources management and the monitoring of technical and social services. Furthermore, its interoperability can be extended to existing municipal information systems, creating an integrated environment connected with Citizen Service Centres (KEP), the Technical Services Department, the Municipal Police, the Water Supply Service and Smart City infrastructure through an Internet of Things (IoT) platform.

The implementation of these two projects strengthens both the educational and administrative functions of the Municipality of Metamorfosi, contributing significantly to its digital transformation and improving the daily lives of citizens and the educational community.
