Smart Attica: Integrated Smart City Digital Platform
Creation of the “Smart City” Digital Platform for the Region of Attica
The objective of the project is, on the one hand, to connect all smart city applications under development so that they interoperate within a unified information environment, and, on the other hand, to connect data from heterogeneous information monitoring systems and sensors already available to the Region.
The scope of the project is the creation of the “Smart City” Digital Platform, which will include:
- Connection of the LED Street Lighting Management System with the “Smart City” Platform
- Fleet Management System for the conventional vehicles of the Region of Attica, covering a total of one hundred and ninety-five (195) vehicles
- System of fifty-five (55) smart information stations, “Infokiosks”
- System of fifty-five (55) smart resting points, “Benches”
The proposed Platform bridges and connects devices, people and processes through a broad and open approach. Its main objective is to improve quality of life and create measurable benefits for citizens and businesses, without imposing an administrative burden on the Region’s staff. The Platform provides an operations control centre with dashboards, where the overall picture of operations is presented in a clear and understandable way on the same screen, in order to minimise operational complexity between services and support decision-making by the responsible officials based on “real, live” data.
The project is funded by the “Antonis Tritsis” programme.
