Municipality of Rhodes: Digital Culture Platform
Digital platform for cultural information and mobile cultural guide application for the Municipality of Rhodes
DOTSOFT S.A. collaborates with the Municipality of Rhodes in the implementation of the project “Digital Platform for Recording Cultural Events and Smart Cultural Guide Application for Rhodes”, aiming to enhance the digital promotion and management of the region’s cultural activities.
The project includes the design and development of a web platform for the recording, organisation and promotion of cultural events, providing continuous information to citizens and visitors regarding cultural activities taking place or scheduled in Rhodes. In parallel, a smart mobile cultural tourism guide application is being developed, enabling access to cultural information and enhancing users’ experience while exploring and discovering the island.
As part of the project, the following activities are also carried out:
- Photography and video recording of cultural events
- Acquisition of usage rights for multimedia content from previous activities
- Content writing and translation for both the application and the platform
The solution contributes to the collection and digital dissemination of cultural content, strengthening the visibility of Rhodes’ cultural activities through modern digital communication and tourism information technologies.
The project is funded by the European Union (ERDF) and national resources under the framework of the South Aegean Operational Programme 2014–2020.
